With this option, your contributions and account balances are invested in one or a combination of the Growth, Balanced or Stable options depending on your age. The mix changes automatically as you get older.

This table shows how your investment mix changes as you get older.

Your investment mix changes on 1 April each year, not your birth date or the anniversary date of joining the scheme.

Here's an example:

Janet was born on 9 February 1974. She joined the scheme on 1 April 2006. She turns 45 on 9 February 2019. Her investment mix will switch from 100% Growth to 90% Growth + 10% Balanced on 1 April 2019.
